The Clarks of Liverpool, New Orleans and Massachusetts

John Clark

John Clark was born in Liverpool, England on 16 May 1837 to Hugh Clark and Mary Carroll.[1] He died on 2 February 1902 in Northampton, Massachusetts.[2] He married Hannah Madigan Connors on 22 December 1866.[3]

Hanora (Madigan) Clark

Hannah Madigan was born in Shanagolden, County Limerick, Ireland on 23 October 1825 to Daniel and Catherine (Wallace) Madigan.[4] She died on 4 May 1895 in Northampton (Bay State Village), Massachusetts.[5] Hannah first married Michael O’Connors/Connors on 10 December 1852 in Greenfield, Massachusetts.[6] A death record for Michael O’Connors/Connors has never been located. Hannah’s second marriage was to John Clark on 22 December 1866.[7]

Hanora and Michael O’Connors/Connors had five known children:

1. John, born 8 September 1853 in Deerfield, Massachusetts;[8] died 8 August 1854 in Deerfield, Massachusetts.[9]

2. Michael Jr., born 25 Sept 1854, Deerfield (Cheapside), Massachusetts;[10] died 17 Oct 1856, Deerfield

(Cheapside), Massachusetts.[11]

3. Daniel, born 9 June 1856, Deerfield (Cheapside);[12] died 16 Nov 1856, Deerfield (Cheapside), Massachusetts.[13]

4. William, born 24 Oct 1858, Deerfield, Massachusetts; [14]died 12 Apr 1901, Buckland, Massachusetts.[15]

5. Thomas, born 18 Apr 1860, Deerfield, Massachusetts;[16] died 15 Nov 1922, Northampton, Massachusetts;[17] He married Nora McCarthy c. 1898.[18]

 Hanora and John Clark had three known children:

 1.  James (twin), born 23 June 1868, Deerfield, Massachusetts;[19] died 22 Aug 1927, Northampton, Massachusetts;[20] He married Mary Ann Cashman 26 Feb 1895 in Northampton, Massachusetts.[21]

 2. Mary (twin), born 23 June 1868, Deerfield, Massachusetts;[22] died 9 Dec 1925, Providence, Rhode Island;[23] She married Edward J. Becket in Northampton, Massachusetts 17 Nov 1886 in Northampton, Massachusetts.[24]

 3. Jane (Jennie) Clark, born 11 Nov 1869, Deerfield, Massachusetts;[25] died 2 Nov 1943, Northampton, Massachusetts;[26] She married Timothy J. McCarthy on 27 Oct 1897 in Northampton, Massachusetts.[27]
